Whether you’re a longtime local or visiting for the first time, you’ll find a fun, friendly, and safe environment waiting for you at The Siren Tavern. Come catch the game with friends, throw a few rounds of darts, shoot a game of pool, play some pull tabs, or relax on our patio beside one of our two fire pits. From neighborhood regulars and friends, to first-time guests, everyone is welcome at The Siren Tavern.
Founded in 1963, The Siren Tavern has proudly been a neighborhood gathering place in Seattle for generations. Our name comes from the nearby fire station where a vintage warning siren would blare alerting all in the area to an emergency in progress. To the patrons inside the Siren Tavern, this signaled a round of drinks on the house, a tradition now synomymous with the lore, history, and character of our storied history. All was great until a few creative regulars started finding ways to ‘encourage’ the horn’s wail a little too often.. While the mechanical motor siren is now gone, its legacy lives on in the spirit of our tavern and the community that has grown around it.
Today, we are still proud supporters of the firefighters and first responders who serve our city. We regularly welcome new firefighter classes coming through and our neighbors at Fire Station 14 and love being a place where they can gather after training, build camaraderie, and become part of the SFD and Siren family.
Whether first responders, longshoremen or other union workers, valued local industry workers, treasured regulars and friends of the Siren, especially those contributing to our annual charity work with Seattle Children’s hospital, together with those we have yet to meet and serve, we can’t wait to see you!
